Malaysia startups had been given the opportunity to pitch in-front of some VCs to showcase their abilities and readiness to global markets, especially the US market. These VCs include The Hive, March Capital, Piva Capital, Vipro Ventures, Faro & In-live).
Discussion on various startups by these VCs and engage with the startups on what it takes for companies to come over to the US, potentially fundraise from here and even set up business here. An undertone of a pitching session as well. To discuss how The Hive has worked with Faro and In-live throughout the journey. Separately, to discuss what they can do in Selangor/ Malaysia and the interest to come over to the region.
Nevertheless, there was another pitching session at Draper University, with panel of experts (judges) from Global Catalyst Partners, Primer Sazze Partners, StartUp Grind and Bevy, Unity Technologies, Parallax Global Advisors, LLC., Stanford University. Draper University has a strong network of alumni and partners, including top Silicon Valley companies, investors, and entrepreneurs.
