ALPS Group Inc CEO Letter – A Message to Our Stakeholders

Dear Shareholders and Future Partners,

This letter is not designed to convince you how great our company is, nor is it a pitch about why ALPS is a strong investment. We already have more than a thousand pages of filings, data, and disclosures that speak to that.

Instead, this message is about something more personal – where we came from, how we got here, and why we chose this path. It is a story of decisions hard decisions and the values behind them.

Where It Began

About a decade ago, on a hot afternoon, I was speaking with a friend about the realities of healthcare: the inequality, the unaffordability, the silent suffering of millions who simply could not access advanced medical care. The question was simple, yet heavy:

“If not us, then who will build a system where science doesn’t just belong to the wealthy?”

That conversation triggered a chain of choices.

My elder brother in science, Prof. Ding, and I began to discuss not just what was wrong, but what we could build if we were willing to give up everything. We all agreed on the facts. But doing something about them—that was not what most people were prepared to do. Because to do this, we had to walk away from secure lives such as leadership roles in global pharmaceutical companies, the comfort of high salaries, titles, prestige, and a predictable future. We traded certainty for a mission.

What did we use to balance that decision? Not money. Not guarantees. Just purpose.

Why We Did It

We believed that if we wanted change, we could not wait for someone else to do it. So, we made the choice that surprised even ourselves. We left everything behind to build something that did not yet exist and, we called it ALPS — a name inspired by purity, elevation, and hope. A reminder that science must serve humanity and not the other way around. The hardest sacrifice was not professional, it was personal. Our families endured years of uncertainty, but they supported us in silence, and that quiet strength became our foundation.

A Turning Point: 2020

When the world was shaken by the pandemic, we did not freeze. We mobilized. We gathered a team, executed a vaccine study, and successfully collected clinical data from more than 3,000 patients. It was not just a scientific milestone but a proof of what conviction, teamwork, and urgency can achieve. That period was a reset for many of us. It reminded us why we started, not for valuation, not for titles — but for human lives.

Where We Stand Today

ALPS is no longer just an idea; it is a full ecosystem. From precision medicine, cell therapy science, and mRNA platforms, to a new model of accessible, ethical, and preventive healthcare. We took risks. We worked, struggled, failed, learned, and built. And today, we stand on a global platform not as a company seeking wealth, but as a mission-driven platform inviting like-minded partners. Whether you invest in our stock or not is secondary. What matters is whether you believe—as we do—that life science should be ethical, human-centered, and accessible.

Our Chapter Going Forward

We begin a new chapter, guided by one principle: Humanity and Ethical Life Science. Our goal is not just to grow a company, but to build a future where healthcare is smarter, fairer, affordable, and truly life-changing for all. If you share that belief, then you are already part of our story.

Thank you for walking this journey with us.

Yours truly,

Dr. Tham Seng Kong
